Default cheese cake factory

what an anticlimatic day!

around mid morning i was really hungry so i had a little package of
oyster crackers from the company cafeteria.

Then we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory around 11:30. I
volunteered to go pick up a present for my boss on behalf of the team --
so I took a 30 minute walk around the mall prior to that. When I
arrived at the table, the appetizer has already arrived. it was a piece
of fried avocado eggroll, a cream cheese crab "wonton", and salmon
stuffed fried something or another. oy that was bad. but sooooo sooooo
soooooo good. it's probably 500 cal in the three little pieces of
appetizer. oh but it was glooooorious!

then my entree took about 40 minutes to arrived, during which i had two
spieces of bread with no butter. The bread they serve there is pretty
small -- round pieces, 2 inches in diameter and about half an inch
thick. so. sure, carbs, ooo.

i got the miso baked salmon as previously planned, on a bed of broccoli.
I ate all the broccoli first before attacking the fish. and ended up
eating very little of the already lunch portioned fish. I felt maybe 70
percent full at this time. and for a change, i put the fork down. i
doubt i had more than 3 or 4 oz of the fish, if that. the miso paste
was as predicted a misnomer -- it's just teriyaki grilled salmon,
nothing that exotic.

Then it's the time of truth -- the dreaded cheese cake portion....i
ordered the Chocolate Truffle cheesecake -- doesn't that just make your
mouth water? well it did for me...for about 30 seconds -- but i ordered
it to go.

it came in a clear box. so I simply pushed it away and sipped my diet
soda. chatted. and when i got back to work -- i was neither stuffed nor
sleepy like rest of my team. it felt great. I ended up giving the
cheesecake away.

trust me, that was the hardest part of the entire day -- i so wanted to
just have ONE taste -- but seriously, it's more of a psychological thing
than a physical yearning for the taste of cheesecake.

You know. if i reeeealy want cheesecake, this restaurant is only 5
minutes away from my home, i can go anytime. so there's really no reason
for me to feel deprived -- i'm an adult, i can control when and where i
want a $6 slice of cheesecake. just because it's free doesn't mean i
have to do it.

anyway, on my way home i picked up a DDR pad and the new ddr game. I
could go to the gym today -- but really this is just much more fun.

Good point.

DDR rocks! I still won't invest in the actual playstation or x-box, but the
PC version works well enough for me.

Good work, FWP! That's the right way to think about the cheesecake.
You didn't really need it or want it today, and there will always be
some there when you do.

Your Highness,
With all due respect, if you are going to be so post introspective, you
should have taken the time before you unclamped your jaws in the first
place. You knew what you were doing.

We all have done this and known and done it again.
Time to move on. My hat is off to you if and when you do better the
next time and the same applies to me ( a statue of perfect virtue
with feet of peanut butter and honey baked goods)

On ASD we are all suppose to forgive and forget but it is the age of
reality shows so don't forget this compulsive behavior soon and don't
repeat it soon either...and next time, visit an auto parts factory:-)

Yikes,
Michelle apology and top posting too, I didn't know what ddr stands for
and read too fast. I thought you caved for the cheesecake. My post
should be transferred to someone who did. Speedreading is my undoing!!
You did well under the circumstances and I didn't :-(.
