Default diet drinks?

Hi all was after some answers, hoped someone here may know,
I was talking to my sister in law whos dieting, but she hates water,
and drinks diet drinks instead vanilla diet coke,Diet iron bru and
diet red bull mainly, she seems to think that because they are only
about 4 calories or whatever, that she can drink them all the time and
its almost like water, and will have no effect on her weight.
Im not sure shes right, id like to know the truth as i hate to see her
wasting her time and working so hard.
Thanks in advance
Kim

Diet soda has almost no calories, so they are fine in that regard.
Some people find that aspartame gives them cravings for sweets, or stalls
their weight loss. Some people find it gives them headaches or fatigue
or a foggy-headed feeling, while other people have no problems with it
at all.

They are mostly water, of course and are fine for hydration.
