Has anyone heard about Cohen Lifestyle clinic, I have a question if you have

Anyway as you can see, it's working I'll see how I am tracking after my second months weigh in! cryss hi again cryss i cant give you really good details cos i cant remember them perfectly, however, i know she lost about 15 kgs in 4-5 months. an insanely fast amount of weight i think. but it worked for her. when you reach maintenance they phased in the foods you dont have, namely the carbohydrates. she didnt keep the weight off unfortunately, but that doesnt mean you wont i think what you can learn from my friend, is that restricting ur calories WILL make you lose weight. its pure maths. but as soon as you increase the calories, IE go off cohens, then the weight can add back on. Addressing why you overeat is crucial for longterm loss. good luck tho. whatever works. way i figure it. if cohens works for you to get to a lower limit, so you can then easily run more, be mroe active, and burn more calories easily, then its a huge success. but one thing i know. going off the diet is where many come unstuck. so i dunno.. kinda prepare yourself that monitoring is for life. i wonder why they dont want you to talk to the others. that would do my head in, i would HAVE to talk to the others to find out why they dont want me to. plus. the rules .. lol.. i would struggle there. I'd say ta hell with you buddy, lol. i dont think its exclusively ur individual plan. i think its just low carb eating. but GREAT loss so far. keep up the good work!! oh and the way you say its insanely strict. areyou ok with that. cos if it was me. i would rebel against that. how do you cope with that? t |

insanely strict is true, so I give myself a day or two a month off, I don't g crazy, but I might have a slice of taost with my egg in the morning, and I won't weigh anything, so I might end up having the right foods just a little more of them. I figure if I go from losing 11.6kg a month to 8kgs I can live with that as long as I'm not going backweards and I'm not going crazy on my "days off". I figure if I don't do something like giving myself a break I'll resent the plan and just give up. Althouigh I have to say on the few times I have allowed myself 'normal' foods, I have felt pretty sick afterwards, and bread makes me so tired, so if anything I think my body might be starting to appreciate the simplicity of the way I am eating now. I'm going to build up my exercise levels as I get lighter, god knows I have these tiny little ankles a wrists that can't move this big bulk around. Once it's easier to do that I'll be more motivated to move around. sorry to hear your friend put it back on, I have yo yo'd so many time, this was either do or die, and I mean that literally, I would have had a heart attack or something. I am 38, i remember when i was 35 saying a similiar thing myself. getting older sure does bring things into context dont they. i am in perth, where are you? t |

I'm in Melbourne. I want to be able to have children, but I'm now worried I'll take all this weight off, have the body I've always wanted and then ruin all that hardwork with a baby! this is a real dilema for me, it's quite serious, the fact that I'm thinking about adoption or at the least cesarean delivery with a tummy tuck. Heya C I put on nearly 20kgs with my first baby. trust me i know what you are talking about lol. but with my second, i knew i had to limit myself. so it was 12kgs. i didnt automatically think OMG wow. i can eat for two. you can have babies without putting on a load of weight. you really can. of course its just my opinion!!!! however, i would hate to think you miss out on the joy of children, for fear of gaining weight. you can watch ur weight and be pregnant and have perfectly healthy children. But that decision is yours alone, or rather, sorry, you and ur partners. but know that just cos you get pregnant, doesnt mean you throw away all the hopes of having the body or person you really are. i had two cesearean deliveries. not sure what you mean how it will benefit having one of them. its big decisions tahts for sure. t |

I have 4 children (all grown now) and the most I gained was 25lbs. I think you're doing the right thing by losing the weight first. Another important thing to consider is exercise during the pregnancy. My doctor said he thought the patients who exercised often had easier pregnancies and deliveries. I walked everyday but had to curtail cycling when the tummy started getting in the way Once you've reached your goal weight and have more experience with your healthy eating and exercise plan you may find you're not as worried about becoming pregnant and regaining too much weight. It probably sounds strange to the men folk on the forum and would be stranger for someone who had never been overweight. Nut having hated being this big for so long, the thought of ruiining it all with child birth sends fear into me. I think I'll take one day at a time, it could take a while for me to fall pregnant. I should stop worring really thanks for the support. I don't suppose anyone knows of a ketosis expert on the forum? I'm sure this diet is supposed to work on that premise, instead they are selling me the HGH tag line. My problem is, I can measure Ketosis easily at home, HGH can't be measured without a blood test. the situation is as follows, my eating plan is virtually 50/50 down to the gram. 1 egg +70g veg 100g beef + 110g veg etc, etc what I don't think it that I'm eating enough protein to put me into Ketosis, if I were to raise the protein to be at least more than the veg, do you think that would work OR have I got this all wrong and 1g of veg works differently to 1g of veg. apologies if this doesn't read too well. c "Ignoramus14135" wrote in message ...
