Default Cravings for potato chips, possible solution

I used to crave potato chips everyday, but now if I crave them I just eat a
little salt, just enough to taste the salt ... usually gets rid of the
cravings. I think all we crave from potato chips is salt. Anyone have some
experience with this?

I used to crave them when I was eating them.

Not eating then takes care of the problem, for me.

Actually, me too. You know what they say about Pringles: "Once you pop,
you can't stop", and it's so-o-o true. I don't even *like* crisps that
much...

Can you substitute pretzels? Still salty but better for you.

I always measure out the serving size suggested on the bag and put the bag
away. I find that its enough to satisfy. May sound silly, but with my
WOE/WOL I have to in order to maintain accountability. Beware of the
individual size bags of chips, many of them contain more than one
serving(just like 20oz bottles of soda contain 2.5 servings)...

People are amazed that I am losing weight and can still eat things like ice
cream & pasta. For me, it comes down to portion control & exercise - plain
and simple.

Getting ready for weigh-in next week. Hoping to break the 400# barrier...

Maybe they should get rid of that slogan.

Thanks Glo! As you might have read in an earlier post I past the 400# goal
and am now at 394#. People are really amazed more at the way I'm losing the
weight more than anything. But as all of you have kept reiterating, portion
control & exercise is the only way to lose weight and keep it off...
