Default One Year Weight Loss

Well, it's been one year since I started my calorie counting diet.
Official loss... 185 pounds! Now to celebrate... where'd I put that
damn celery? LOL

You can really celebrate. Break out the Diet Coke too. Wow, 185
pounds. Amazing. I lost 95 pounds and have kept it off over 3 years
now, but a 185-pound loss is spectacular. dkw

Wow! You're doing wonderfully!

Have you ever told us the story of what prompted you to begin this
journey? If so, I think I missed it. And I think it would be really
inspiring to hear about it, if you're so inclined.

Dkw, tell me something willya? After you drink your Diet Coke do you
feel bad? I've had that happen a few times and it makes me wonder why
this happens. I've just lately switched over to Diet Caffeine Free
Coke, and as I don't usually drink caffeinated drinks I don't think it's
the lack of stimulant that's doing it. I think it may be the artificial
sweeteners.

And Zil, not to forget you - Congratulations on your loss. That's
spectacular.

No, but due to the caffeine, if I drink 5 or more glasses I can get a
little twitchy and talk faster, etc. Since I only sleep 5 hours a
night whether I drink caffeine or not, it is hard to judge whether it
keeps me awake or gives me dreams, but it might make me dream a little
more. The main side effect I notice is just being cold and staying
cold for hours afterward. I typically drink about 10 glasses a day of
the stuff. I also eat a lot of Splenda and more Nutrasweet on my
cereal. I eat the equivalent of probably 100 packs of artificial
sweetner a day at least. dkw
