Yay! Yatta! It has finally come!

Yes - I have a long way to go yet, but as far as I'm concerned it is all
downhill from here and the rest can take as long as is needed. This is
the
day I've been waiting for, the day I've been hoping for, since starting
my
diet on June 3 - 218 days ago.

As you can probably tell, I'm extremely happy today!

Brilliant Doug! Bet all the frustrations seem both small and worth it now!!

Fantastic! I love the picture. Made me chuckle out loud.

Taken with my cell phone. Picked up AFTER the weight locked in.

The vital stats:

* Day 218, Week 31 + 1 day
* Weight (kg): 125.0 - 99.8 (minus 25.2 kg)
* Milestone! Finally broke the 100 kg barrier! I'm into two-digits!
* Milestone! Lost more than 25 kg!
* Weight (lb): 275.0 - 219.6 (minus 55.4 lb)
* Milestone! Under 220 lb!
* BMI: 41.3 - 33.0
* Percent lost: 20.2%
* Milestone! Lost more than 20% of my body mass!
* Percent complete to goal: 55%

Here is a summary of my diet method, for reference:

* I figured my "goal weight needed calories" per week. Then I deducted
1,000
calories from the total and put them aside for a bonus and divided the
difference by 7. This gave me 1700 calories per day plus a weekly bonus of
1000 calories for flexibility. Having a bonus helps relieve the stress of
facing a fixed, rigid daily limit.

* I do daily exercise on my stationary bike. I deduct those displayed
calories from my daily total, which is an incentive to do regular
exercise.

* At the end of the week, if there is anything left over from my 1700*7
nominal calorie limit I roll it over to the next week. This adds just a
little more "fun flexibility" to the diet, so some weeks I can eat a
little
more without going off the plan.

Hi, Eddie. I know you can do it. You are at 306 lb right now, right?

I haven't talked about this point so much, but back in 1998, before I
started another diet (from which I rebounded - a constant fear for the
future) I actually had my all-time peak weight of 304 lb!

Seeing the scale go over 300 lb was a life-altering experience. I never
rebounded to THAT level again.

At any rate, I was where you are now and now I am under 100 kg, and I am a
49 year old basically sedentary male. If I can get under 100 kg literally
ANYBODY can, I am 100% convinced of that!

Default Five Alarm Milestone Report!!! (^_^)

Somebody posted a note yesterday cautioning me not to get frustrated if I
weigh myself today and find I had bounced back over 100 kg, since there are
daily fluctuations.

I thought long and hard about whether I should check my weight or not this
morning, and finally curiosity got the best of me.

Fortunately, I was still at 99.8 kg.

But I probably should wait until next Friday to do my next check this time.

Oh, so that's how you did it! I was thinking of my camera which weighs
about 1 kg. I forgot that they made small cameras. :-) On top of which,
my scale the old analog kind which doesn't have this "lock in" function.
