Default Beach Body

This weight loss article today is worth reading:

http://health.yahoo.com/experts/spor...y-10-step-plan

If you lack the patience or are too closed-minded to read the full article, here's the most important paragraph:

"Just say no to sugars and sweets. It takes discipline, but there's no way around this one. Forget all sodas, candies, cakes, and other processed foods. If it has a "shelf life," leave it on the shelf. Snack on fresh fruits and vegetables instead. In a pinch, chew sugarless gum until you can find a healthier "beach body" choice. Check the sugar content of all beverages before guzzling (this is the downfall for many) and remember "water water everywhere."

Observe the difference between this, and how WW encourages members to think of sweets as "treats". Whom to believe? Well, the authors of this article have no financial interest in anyone following their recommendations, so you guess.

1 1/2 tsp grated lime zest
2 Tbsp. lime juice
2 c thawed Cool Whip Free
1 reduced fat graham cracker crust

Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until
completely dissolved. Add enough ice to cold water to measure 1 cup. Add to
gelatin; stir until ice is comletely melted. Stir in lime zest and juice.
Add whipped topping; stir with wire whisk until well blended. Refrigerate 15
to 20 min. or until mixture is very thick and will mound. Spoon into crust
Refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Store leftover pie in

DH loves Key Lime pie so I used Key Lime juice for this. I eat mine without
the crust so it's 0 points.

You could serve this in tall glasses and call it Key Lime mousse.

jell-o flavors.

I had a low carb gummy recipe using jell-o and gelatin somewhere. It wasn't
as good as actual gummies but it worked.

I had to have an umbilical hernia repaired 3 years ago, and I could not eat
anything for 12 hrs. before the surgery except jello. It was the fastest 10
lbs in 2 days I have ever lost! I could live on that stuff! Ha!

Just grabbed a recipe from the net...Really fills me up and I love the
texture

Here are the ingrediients:

4 Cups Boiling Water
4 packages unflavored gelatin
1 and 1/2 Cups Jello (any flavor/flavors mixed together)
Mix the gelatin and jello together in a rectangular pan (approx 13x9). Bring
the water to a boil, pour it into the jello powder, and stir until
dissolved.

After it cools to room temperature, put in the refrigerator for it to harden
(approximately one hour).

I'm new to this list
I started to try losing weight 12 months ago. 333 lbs

Today I weighed 100 lbs less than when I started, I have 30 more lbs to
go. I followed no real diet, but my wife has been on weight watchers on
and off for years,, on this time for over a year, she has lost 10 lbs
in that year (well up and down, and has ended up 10 lbs lighter over 12
months)

I cut out nearly all sweets, and everything with process sugar in it,
maybe once a month, but most of the time not, will I eat something (one
small portion) with sugar,, why do you need to eat anything with sugar
now there is Splenda?

My wife has been following the WW plan, and uses sugary things as
treats, other wise we eat the same things, except I eat more of them
than her.

Do the math. I wish I could get her to.
