Personally I prefer top posting, as I don't have to scroll through the whole
message to see what someone is replying to.

If you are reading the thread you should have read the previous message and
then see what others are replying back to.

In defense of this group, there are so many supportive people here. There
is a sharing of new food ideas, meals and recipes, exercise techniques,
how to get through difficult situations and all sorts of things that are
supportive. Willow's post was honest not self-righteous and as far as the
top posting, I do it as a courtesy for Lee since it is easier for her to
read the posts.

Absolutely there are! Of course Debbie initiated the criticism yet didn't
like being criticized herself. Who is Lee, by the way? And how does top
posting help her? I'm confused?

Top posting for the most part is annoying to many (many groups on USENET
discourage it for that reason) as most of us are used to reading as we
would a book. Top posting is like getting the answer before you know the
question. It also is hard to dissect the reply when it all is crammed into
the attributes. If people were more judicious about trimming up the
unnecessary quoted material before they reply to the pertinent bits, it
would be much easier to follow.
