I've noticed that they're all cross-posted to hell and back.

Ever checked who did the original cross posting? You will find the name of
TVOR ( ) as the original poster most of the time. I
usually don't edit out cross-posting, since some of them actually cross
newsgroups boundaries... Mmm... Ok, I have probably been a bit too lazy to
check if every cross-posting rightfully applied.

That's exactly what I'm complaining about... that you don't snip
headers. Your posts are going into groups where you don't participate.
I don't care who STARTED it (now I sound like a mother) but the fact
is, you're keeping it going every time you don't snip a header.

But I dare you to produce
any single post where I originated the cross-posting...

Like I said, I don't care and it doesn't matter. You're responsible for
what you do, not what other people did.

I wonder if Lictor is even READING in this group.

This one is my "main" newsgroup actually.

If you are, Lictor, please
take your cross-posted troll-fest over to where the troll lives and
leave us out of it!

As I said, I usually post *from* this newsgroup. I have been for the past
several months. You have the right to disagree with my own views on various
diets and the like, but they nevertheless belong here. The fact remains that
I am in a weight loss process, and since it seems to be the purpose of this
group targetted at no specific diet. This seems to fit the description.

I have no problem with you being here. I just don't like some of the
company you're keeping in the other groups.

As I said, some times, I believe cross-posting *is* justified. Like the
"junk food" discussion, which equally well belongs to the alt.support.diet
and sci.med.nutrition newsgroups. It is of interest to both newsgroup, and
so that the thread doesn't even involve much trolling. In cases like this, I
don't feel like I should have to cut any of these two newsgroups from the
cross-posting chain.
I will admit that there have been times when I have been a little too quick
to reply, and I haven't checked the half dozen newsgroups that some
cross-post to in an attempt to troll. Especially when this kind of thing
happens in the middle of a heated thread which used to be kept to a single
newsgroup for long. I will try to check that line and trim it in the
future...

He who throws the first stone... I googled on you, you did do that a few
times too... Mistakes happen. I will be more careful, but expect some
intentional (i.e., posts genuinely reaches two newsgroups) or even
unintentionnal (half asleep posting) cross-posting to happen. Besides, it's
not like Usenet is on limited bandwidth anymore, not with P2P eating 99% of
Internet resources.

I have no problem with you being here. I just don't like some of the
company you're keeping in the other groups.

Don't think I enjoy it either... Unfortunately, it seems it follows without
the need for cross-postings now...

BZZZ! Wrong answer. IMO, cross posting is a sign of complete laziness by the
OP. If one wants to make a point in several NGs, then go into each one
separately and make the point.
