Finally !!!
Congrats!!!
-- Email me at: perpleglow(AT)comcast(DOT)net "MH" wrote in message ... Woohoo! Now I have to follow your lead. That's my next goal... Martha 173/152/130 "Beverly" wrote in message ... Yesterday morning I stepped on the scales and was surprised to see a number I haven't seen in quite sometime. Just to be sure I weighed again this morning and sure enough I've broke the 150 barrier. I now weigh 149.5 !! It's so good to see the 140's again after a long and tough struggle to get rid of these last few pounds. I'm in the midst of a very stressful project at work and in the past I've usually gained a few pounds while implementing new software. It's so d*mn frustrating battling wits with a machine This time around I've been able to forgo the mindless reaching for snacks. The biggest calorie saver has been Crystal Light. Instead of a 100+ calorie snack I'm satisfied with a 10 calorie glass of CL. For now I'll continue to work out at Curves and watch the stress eating as I want to see the bottom range of the 140's! I've been rock solid between 167 and 166 for about 10 days. I'm still determined to continue, but I don't know what else to do to budge it. I increased my exercise a little bit, but without any visible improvement. Hang in there.. I did that once and over night I lost ten pounds. I don't know what happened. I think I had already lost the weight but my body must have kept water or something. It was terrible staying on that diet doing that work and not seeing any quick result but it came over night.. Just hang in there.. If your calorie numbers are right.. it will happen.. Monte |

I increased my exercise a little bit, but without any visible improvement. Thanks. Just keep at it and those stubborn pounds will eventually give way. It's not been an easy time for me to lose these last few pounds. I honestly believe my decision to join a gym and get some regular exercise has been the key to my getting back into a regular weight loss mode. Before the gym I would lose 5, gain 5 and continued to do this for quite sometime. Hopefully your extra exercise will some the same results soon. Beverly Anyway, you now have a good incentive to go on. It's a good idea to have milestones along the way, as you do. Onwards, then, to the low 140s! -- Franklin Smart Dieting *ought* to be a piece of cake. |

You lost 10lb in water overnight? You would have noticed this coming out of you (trying not to be too crude here ). 10lb of water is a lot. Maybe your scales weren't calibrated correctly, you weren't reading them correctly, or you cut off your forearm. I find it very difficult to believe that you can lose 10lb of water in the course of 24 hours. Did you notice yourself spending longer in the bathroom? My weight fluctuates by about 2lb at the very most - usually much less. MadJock |

What I said was that I lost ten pounds in less than a week.. and I remarked: "it might have been water retention as I had stayed on my low calories intake for those two weeks of not losing any weight on the scale. I was comfused and I just figured I must have lost the mass weight and the weight on the scale might have been some kind of water retention. I didn't know then why I went throught that two weeks without losing any weight and I stll don't know why. It just happened. Monte |

Over a week is more believable MadJock |

Finally !!!
Just pronounce me perpetually on-the-mend. I am recovering from
overuse and overextension injuries to feet/legs. Hope to make it to the gym again today, after not going for a few weeks. "Beverly" wrote in message . .. ] wrote in message ... I remember that feeling, I had that selfsame feeling about 10 days ago (but at first ashamed of it because I know that I haven't weighed this little in years, since 1985). I preferred to hover around the mid-190's stably, for years at a time sometimes.
