Default In-home exercise (and the smell)

I want to start lifting weights at home but I don't want to live in a stinky
house. There isn't a gym close enough for me to join. I live in a really
small place, maybe 1100 sq ft or so. I don't want the house to smell like a
gym. I'm a person who sweats a lot when working out. I'm wondering if
putting up a fan, opening the windows and all that stuff will cut it.

My adult son lives with me, too, and I'm sure he'll be using the equipment.
So there'll be two adults in the apartment lifting weights. This should go
without saying, but showering immediately after working out will definitely
be the rule.

Another question, and this one is definitely OT, is that I like to burn
candles in the house, like vanilla scented for example. I'm having
difficulty with the soot. Can anybody recommend decent candles that won't
soot stuff up in the house?

Thanks!!

Soy candles burn cleaner than paraffin wax candles. Make sure to get the
type that doesn't contain metal in the center of the wick.
