Default Canadians: Chapmans No Sugar Added Ice Cream Bars

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to point out to Canadians who don't already know that
Chapmans is selling a no sugar added ice cream sandwiches. They sell
them in 6-packs in the supermarket freezer. They're like regular
ice cream sandwiches (you know the ones, vanilla ice cream sandwiched
between two chocolate cookie things, wrapped in paper. The taste
is almost indistinguishable, but the ice cream is a tiny bit
softer or something, and the sandwiches are a tiny bit harder.

Sweeteners are Maltitol, Sorbitol, and Sucralose. Net carbs is
about 6g per bar, which for me places them firmly in the "very
occasional treat" category, but like someone else said about the
Atkins ice cream available in the USA, it's a comfort just to have
them in the freezer even if you don't end up eating any.

In my case, it was in Dominion. I note that you're out West
(probably -- your ISP is Shaw it seems). Don't know about out
there, but around these parts, Chapmans ice cream is carried by
any big supermarket. I just never noticed the no-sugar stuff
until the other day.

They have them in Atlantic Canada at the Superstore -- I bought a box last
weekend, along with a small tub of their no-sugar cookies & cream

"Chapman's No Sugar Added line of ice cream is sweetened with Maltitol and
Sucralose and has been recognized by the CDA (Canadian Diabetes
Association). The No Sugar Added 1 Litre products contain 10% fat by weight.
The No Sugar Added Vanilla Sandwiches contain 10% butterfat while the No
Sugar Added Fudge Bars contain 5% butterfat. "
