Default Christmas Basket

I want to make my low-carbing friend a Christmas basket. I went into the
health food store and they seem to have a ton of different bars, cookies,
syrups etc.
Could you experts please give me the names of some items that are good, and/or
steer me to a place on-line to purchase.
Thanks for your advice.

Most of the atkins brand bars and candies are suitable. also consider
roasted almonds (with the skin), summmer sausage (watch for carb content)
and cheeses -- something like hickory farms

Depends on the low-carber. Not all of us eat them.

Or, if they have sugar alcohols in them, want them.

Also, YMMV seems particularly applicable to the taste of these things.
There are some bars and candies that I consider worse than inedible, and
yet someone obviously thinks they taste ok. And there are things I love
that others find repulsive.

If someone were filling a lowcarb basket for *me* (let me know if you need
the delivery address g). I'd go with the Trader Joe's nuts, plus a
container of the Marcona Almonds from Whole Foods (look in the cheese
section), maybe some DaVinci's syrups, depending on what range we're
talking about, a ham would be nice. I personally love the Gram's Gourmet
Cinnamon Pork rinds, so a few bags of those would be welcome. If you think
your friend might want the low carb products, maybe netrition could issue
a gift certificate. That way he/she could see what's available, but make
his/her own decisions.

But, what I'd really love to put in a holiday basket for a lowcarber is
_Pastorio Cooks Low Carb_. People sometimes find lowcarb eating boring
because they don't appreciate all the possibilities. 'Course, I don't see
that listed on amazon.com just yet hint.

Hey, I'd love to put that on my Christmas list, too! ;-)
