Food & Exercise -- 7/25/2004
Another splurge day at the wine competition:
Food: 7:15 (driving there): ready-to-drink chocolate protein shake 8:00 -- 1:00 (from the snack table): 2 oz. mixed nuts; 2 small bran muffins; 2 pieces string cheese 1:00 (lunch buffet): 2 breakfast sausage links; about 20 medium-sized spiced shrimp w/ cocktail sauce; 1 scoop vanilla ice cream w/ caramel sauce; a couple of bites each of cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake, and creme brulee {the old protein + dessert diet :-) } 2:00 -- 6:00 (competition): 6 oz. wine (sipped various wines that were chosen as gold medal winners); handful of grapes 9:30 (home -- planned): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices melted f/f cheese Totals: 2029 calories (129 from wine), 97g fat (43%), 144g carbs (28%), 119g protein (23%) Exercise: Nothing formal. Spent some time before the competition moving and unloading cases of wine, and opening bottles. (Opening 100 or so bottles of wine is more work than you might imagine :-) .) Afterward, spent some time repacking and moving wines (so there was some lifting going on). The rest of the time, apart from the hour eating lunch, was spent on my feet behind a table handing the coded wines to pourers in the correct sequence. So it was a bit more exercise than sitting around the house, anyway. Chris 262/143/ (145-150) |
