Fear and Bloating in San Diego (yeast infection, looking for a diet)

I'm no expert on low carb eating, but I do know from experience that if you've been eating a lot of carbs and then suddenly cut back you can expect to experience diminished energy for a while. Much better idea to taper off them gradually, and make sure you still get some carbs, preferably in the form of fruit and veggies. Well, actually, in accordance with my records, I was able to lose 12 pounds in 5 days in the past on a completely different weight-loss approach. So 4 pounds in 2 weeks is comparatively low. Note that the first five pounds you lose on almost any diet will be glycogen and water from your liver. Unfortunately, it can be put back on very fast. -- David Wright :: alphabeta at prodigy.net These are my opinions only, but they're almost always correct. I did eat yogurt, which has both L & B bacteria, but the problem with it is that I'm yet to find a brand that has no sugar in it, even when it's advertized as 'plain'. I ate kefir as well, which has a barrage of friendly bacteria too. Making yogurt at home is easy and inexpensive compared to the cost of the prepared yogurt. Do a quick web search and you'll find a couple of good techniques. As long as you warm milk fresh from a sealed container, you don't even need to scald it. Pasteurization and ultra-pasturization are the norm now. Homemade yogurt will still contain sugar; it's a natural consituent of the milk. Told you it was good. I'm of the opinion that the only way the Italians get away with eating huge amounts of pasta is because they eat commensurate amounts of garlic and tomatoes. Low zinc levels can Actually, the way the Italians get away with eating huge amounts of pasta is by not doing it. In Italy, pasta is mainly used as a side dish in portions that most Americans would consider tiny. |

That 5 pounds will tend to stay off for as long as one's following the new regimen, but there's no (reasonably healthy) diet I know of that would result in a consistent loss of more than 2 pounds a day over time. |

Most raw vegetables produce a alkaline effect in your system. Eating unripe fruit produces a very acidic effect also whereas most vine ripened fruit is alkaline. Freshly squeezed lemon juice produces a good alkalinizing effect. (here comes the flames...LOL) There's a tremendous amount of fad-quack horse**** out now claiming you can, or need to, alter the pH of your "system", tissues, or blood, by eating different foods or taking supplements. This is complete bull****. All you can alter is the pH of your urine, and to some extent the acidity of your stomach. The pH of blood and tissues is regulated by the body within an *extremely* small margin, outside of which you can't live, and you can't change it by eating this veggie or that supplement. Not bull****. Complete bull****. This is pretty basic stuff which is not widely known about. Because its complete bull****. Certain foods produce an acid residue which leads to many degenerative diseases like rheumatism, gout, arthritis, osteoporosis, headaches and inability to absorb other minerals. Mindless pig ignorant bull****. |

Just because some quack makes some stupid pig ignorant claim doesnt make it gospel any time soon. That fool Ghandi used to drink his own ****, and that stupid approach has been around for a hell of a lot longer than that fool Bragg. This is pretty basic stuff which is not widely known about. Because its complete bull****. No, because it is suppressed wholistic information. Yeah, yeah, its all a gigantic conspiracy cooked up by jews in smoke filled rooms to make us sick as dogs so we will have to buy heaps of stuff from the pharmaceutical companys. Nothing to 'learn' in that pile of steaming turds. THE CAUSE OF DEGENERATIVE DISEASE http://www.euroamericanhealth.com/cause.html Complete and utter pig ignorant drivel. Fails even the most obvious test. Plenty outside the first world dont have the sort of diet that fool rants about AND THEY STILL GET DEGENERATIVE DISEASE And you're so stupid that you cant even work that out for yourself. |
