Subway low carb wraps
My wife and I stopped by Subway today and tried their low-carb wraps for
lunch. She had the turkey based, I had the chicken...11 and 8 net carbs respectively. Mine was not bad, certainly convenient, but not as good as I can make at home. I did not find the taste of the tortilla to be appreciably different from that of one of the La Tortilla Factory low-carb tortillas. After eating, and while waiting for my kids to finish, I spoke briefly with the store manager. He asked how I liked the wrap, then he told me that these were only going to be offered through February. He did not have any further details to offer beyond this bit of information. Given that Subway is advertising this as a partnership with Atkins Nutritionals which "will benefit millions of people who have chosen...the Atkins Nutritional Approach" I am now curious as to the validity of the managers statement. Is Subway in this or is this just a wide market test, soon to be pulled? JJ. |
