Hello All and I congratulate everyone on their successes along their journey
to be being at a healthy weight.

It has been one year since I renewed my commitment to myself to get this
weight off. I joined Weight Watchers December 30, 2000 at 319.4 pounds and
lost 40 pounds only to lose my momentum and gain part of the weight back. A
year ago this week, I had gain back up to 306.2 pounds at my weigh in on
July 11, 2003. I am happy to report that a year later, today I weighed in
at 265.0 the lowest I have been in a very long time and feeling very good
about it. I know because I never stopped attending my Weight Watchers
meetings, I was able to get myself back on track.

Also yesterday was my birthday, and my boss at work offered to take me out
for lunch with the department. She let me choose the restaurant and since I
had mentioned Weight Watchers and how I was trying to stay on track, she
opted to not get me a birthday cake. Much to others dismay since there was
no cake for afternoon break. But I was grateful to her for her supporting
my plan and respecting my weight loss efforts.

So lunch was eaten at Red Lobster and I had the broiled sole. It was very
good. Then to top off the meal the waiter brought out an ice cream sundae
in a huge soup bowl. I quickly asked him for 7 spoons so that we could all
share the dessert. So the seven of us passed the sundae around the table and
shared. Even though there was some left over at the end, I did have three
bites that were thoroughly enjoyed.
