Default Tracking those special foods

Kate's post was excellent. It is hard to dine at a fine restaurant,
tiny bistro, foreign country and still keep track of the WW points. I
look up so many things that are not in my complete food companion.
Sometimes I try to disect the ingredients and figure them separately but
wish there was a better method. This weekend we are going to SF and
will dine at a very fine restaurant. I love seafood and that helps me
keep to a lower point total but the meal will most likely be my total
points for the day. I am on maintenance so I can do something like this
and not gain weight. A much greater challenge will be when we go to
Peru at the end of summer.
If anyone has a very complete book that shows calories, fat and fiber,
please post.

Audrey

Honestly I don't have any real recommendations for you. I tend to use my
best judgement to estimate and fudge a few points (overestimating) in most
cases. I do use the UDSA food database on my Palm to look up certain food
items and then convert it to points because I think the WW database blows,
especially the handheld. It's beyond inaccurate in many cases.

Last time we went on vacation I took a tablespoon and a 1/2 cup measuring
cup in my purse and used them to do portion estimations.

I find the WW Palm database impossible to use. The search engine is
beyond worthless. Where can you get the UDSA database for the Palm?
