You actually thought that just eating lots of meat while continuing to eat
bread, starch, and sweets would allow you to lose weight?? What you were
doing in no way even remotely resembled the Atkins diet. Try reading the
book.

You don't even appear aware that Atkins is something specific.
Did you even slightly consider following the directions in the book?

I never read the book, but I do know Dr Atkins suffered from heart
disease, something that eating lots of meat would certainly contribute
to. He, like other controversial diet advocates (like the guy who
advocated running) died an unfortunate tragic death.

If you're referring to Jim Fixx, his heart problems were more genetic than
lifestyle and his running and excellent physical condition actually allowed
him to live longer than his father or others in his family with the same
problem. I wouldn't call him controversial. Only a idiot would believe that
he or any other runner or athlete would be exempt from heart disease or any
other problems that can be a result of the genetic lottery.

And so you don't have a clue what the actual directions say to
eat. Gotcha. But you just go ahead making up nonsense.

but I do know Dr Atkins suffered from heart disease,

Which if you are honest you will note that it was caused by a virus
not diet.

something that eating lots of meat would certainly contribute
to.

Which if you are honest you will note that it kept his arteries
clear enough that when the virus infection reached the point of an
arrest, made it easy to restart his heart.

He, like other controversial diet advocates (like the guy who
advocated running) died an unfortunate tragic death.

Which if you are honest you will note that he was walking to work
at the time and he fell on the ice and smashed his skull. He
walked for the extra exercise. He worked for the fun of it as he
was rich enough that he never needed to show up a day of work
again in his life. And you will also note that on the day he fell,
his weight was well within normal range, thanks to his diet.

If you're going to claim that his low carbing caused poor balance,
I won't call that dishonest. If you're going to claim that his
death had anything to do with heart disease, then you are being
completely dishonest. Personally, I think the slip was from
wearing the wrong shoes and having insufficient traction.

It's amazing the level of dishonesty people level against Dr A.
But the truth is out there for all who care to check.
