I thought losing weight made one look younger, but apparently that isn't true in my case. : ) You look like a new (and much younger) woman. That story is just comical! Lorelei quoth:

When I got down near 190 last year on Atkins, I looked a lot like my high school graduation picture. BUT ... middle age is doing some nasty things like making my skin crepey. I'm used to more elasticity, and it was a real shocker the first time I noticed it. In article , damsel-
says... BUT ... middle age is doing some nasty things like making my skin crepey. I'm used to more elasticity, and it was a real shocker the first time I noticed it. I hear ya on THAT one -- I don't know how much is due to the skin being stretched out by being fat and how much is due to being 49, but some parts are getting downright SCARY! I wasn't expecting THAT :-( The first time you notice it, it IS a shock -- kind of like when you notice that first gray hair somewhere other than on your head). -- Saffire 205/149/125 - 5'1.5" Atkins since 6/14/03 Progress photo: http://photos.yahoo.com/saffire333 |

In article et,
says... I had a similar experience. There is an older woman who walks/bikes by all the time. Last month she asked me if I was "Grandma" LOL I am 38 yrs old and my kids are 12 and 4. I thought losing weight made one look younger, but apparently that isn't true in my case. : ) She probably didn't think you looked older so much as you looked a LOT like Lori. -- Saffire 205/149/125 - 5'1.5" Atkins since 6/14/03 Progress photo: http://photos.yahoo.com/saffire333 |
