Default woohoo! - rollerblades finally

Well, I finally found a pair of rollerblades for my nephew. I picked
them up Sunday night. I wasn't able to take my nephew with me, so I
bought them on faith that they would fit, and he would like them.,

But
they are great. Praactically brand new, looks to be a fancy kind of
speed skate. And only $25.

Charlie loves them. We went skating on Monday and again today. We

went
further today in less time. We had fun both days, and I got a good
workout. He is definitely faster than me.Taller, stronger, and better
skates. So, I am going to have to work hard to keep up. I do have one
advantage. He prefers toskate upright, and I already tend to lean
forward. If I can improve my technique, then that will increase my
speed. Also, part of my speed issue is conditioning and asthma. I had
to slow down because of my breathing, not because of being tired. So,
as that improves with conditioning, my speed will pick up easily.

Anyway, I just wanted to post how thrilled I am to finally be able to
do my most fun exercise. It sure beats working out at home

I can't wait til next week to go again.

Glad to see you were able to find him a pair of skates. Enjoy the new
sport!

I traded my rollerblades for a pair of the old quads a few years ago.
Now even the quads sit in the closest Anyone need a good pair of
slightly used quad skatesg

I've just bought a pair on e-bay and have booked a lesson in Hyde Park on
Friday so if you hear stories of "strange woman in purple skates drowns in
Serpentine" it will be me!!

That's great Meghan! Glad you found an affordable, good pair of skates for
your nephew. I think exercising is probably more enjoyable with a partner.
That's why I've found a swimming buddy. We were supposed to start already,
but I got sick with a bad cold. I'm much better now so next week it will be
off to the pool for sure!

It's great that you've found a good exercise that you love to do.
