breakfast?
Hi Gang -- Recently crushed the scales, and am in my first week of
Atkins Induction. Enjoying it, and already feeling some progress. But I also already know that I'm going to get extremely sick of eggs (with sausage or a small breakfast steak or small hamburger patty) for breakfast. I enjoy eggs, but never in my life have I eaten them more than two mornings a week. I do enjoy them for dinner now and then, too. Any alternative breakfast suggestions would be very much appreciated. And I've enjoyed reading the posts I've seen. Looks like a good, supportive crowd here. hey, can somebody explain the three weights listed, separated with backslashes? I assume those are weights at certain progress points? THANKS -- Parker |

Forget what most of the world thinks is "breakfast food". For me, anything that is *food* is food for whichever meal I am having. It could be eggs, it could be leftover chicken salad, it could be poached salmon with a side of spinach... The only limits are those you place on yourself. Anything you can eat for lunch or dinner, you can eat for breakfast, although I will admit that I'm in an 8-month rut of cheese omelets. And I've enjoyed reading the posts I've seen. I've gotten to the point (and you will too quite possibly) where appetite
suppression is in full swing, and I hardly ever eat a full breakfast anymore. Lately it's been one shake (the Atkins-alike generic H-E-B version) and a cup of coffee each morn with heavy cream / Splenda. "Priscilla H Ballou" wrote in message ... I eat omelets an awful lot. I just use the eggs as a holder for whatever I
feel like, so it isn't like I am just eating eggs. I put all kinds of things in omelets including leftovers from the day before. Curt "Parker" wrote in message m... THANKS -- Parker I should stress that this is NOT really suitable for Induction level carbs, but once you move on to higher level you might like to try my current favourite breakfast: a few blueberries (or sliced strawberries), a tablespoon or so of flaked almonds, some natural unsweetened yoghurt and a touch of splenda. Yummmm. Sometimes I add a tablespoon of All Bran for added fibre. Shop around for the lowest carb yoghurt you can find. Im not a big fan of eggs either and I find this really quick and easy. -- Caitlin kgs: 115/98.25/70 lbs: 253/216.1/154.3 height: 5'8", 173cms |
