Recipe to contribute
Hi,
New to the newsgroup, but a long-time Weight Watcher Lifetime Member. Thought I might share a recipe I really like for a hearty Slow-Cooker soup. Winter's not too far off! 1 can chicken broth (16 oz) 1 medium onion, chopped 1 red, green or yellow bell pepper, chopped 1 can pinto beans, undrained (16 oz) 1 can whole kernel corn -- drained (16 oz) 1 can pork and beans (16 oz) - I used Campbell's 1 can sliced mushroom stems/pieces (16 oz) 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp chili powder to taste (I used McCormick's) 2 cans diced or chopped tomatoes (16 oz each) Note: Yeah, I know you can't get 16oz cans anymore. Get as near as you can. Put all ingredients in crock pot and simmer all day. Makes 8 1-cup servings. Leftovers freeze well. Each serving: 170 cal, 1.2g fat, 8g fiber, 2.7 ww points Fred |
