Default Question about Ketosis and response time

Hi everyone. I have been low carbing since June 4th and hit the 40 pound
loss milestone last Wednesday, and I am 22 pounds from my goal. I
have a question about Ketostix. I have been using these randomly since
June 4th, and rarely get a color response at all except maybe the
slightest hint of pink. This week however, they are a deep purple. Now
then, my question is, if I eat something to intentionally blow myself
out of Ketosis (not that I would want to), what kind of time frame are
we looking at here for the purple to go away? I know the remaining
Keytones have to be flushed out and all of that, but I have never been
able to tell.
