Default Carb Addicts Diet?

Anyone here tried this one? Results? I like the fact that you can have one
unrestricted meal per day

I'd think it would be much harder to succeed. I once tried something
called the "weekend fling". We all did great during the week, but could
never lose because of going crazy on the weekend.

Also, one of the benefits of doing induction and then not eating a
lot of carbs is that you lose the craving for them. That is
extremely helpful.

Yep, I did the C-A diet and lost some weight on it. I didn't lose all
the weight I wanted to on it though, and my cravings never went away, I
just waited for that one hour and then I binged on chocolate. I know, I
know, you're supposed to eat a balanced meal during that hour, but like
I said, my cravings didn't go away. Now on low carb, I don't crave, and
I don't binge, and my weight came right off, and I'm stable still.

I lost all my weight doing a version of CAD. It took about 14 months to
lose 95 pounds. I stayed under 30g carbs for the day but I had them all
for my evening meal. I did a mix of Atkins and Carb Addicts.

It's my understanding that the 'reward' meal (or whatever it is called)
is *not* unrestricted. You need to start with a green salad, then have
a plate of food that is 1/3 protein, 1/3 green veggies, and 1/3 carbs.
If you want more of the carb food, then you also need to have the same
amount of protein and green veggies.

I tried CAD about 4 years ago but found that I couldn't handle the
'reward' meal...I turned it into eat-all-you-want-whatever-
you-want-in-an-hour.

Other people have found it to be a successful way of living.

There's NOT one unrestricted meal a day. Not even close. Like people
are forever misinterpreting Dr. Atkins' plan, so are they with CAD.

Buy the book on Amazon. It's cheap.

I realize that my question was an oversimplification. Still, compared to
Atkins it IS relatively free as to what you can eat in that one, hour long
meal.

Nope - you asked the question, and not liking the answer doesn't mean
you suddenly understand the program. You need to read about it if you
want to know, that's all.

(And it's not an "hour long meal." It's their advice that you don't
take *longer* than an hour to eat it. It's like you've gotten the
cliffnotes from a bad student.
