Default WI Sept 13: -1.5 lb and lowered my goal to 187 lb.

Hi all,

I lost 1.5 lb this week and went slihtly under my original goal of 198
lb.

But on a date I had with a woman of my own age (34) she said that it
should fit me wel if I'd lose another 5 lb. I told this to my leader at
tonight's WI and she said that could easily cut off another 6 on top of
the 5 my date proposed. She said so because when you look at the BMI
table at my height (5'8") the top weight for a healthy BMI would be 178
lb. Personally I think 178 lb. would make me look too skinny so I
decided to set my new goal at 187 lb. (85 kg)

So now I have 11 more lb. to go ;-)

hehe. It's nice when your date says you'd look better losing 5 pounds.
Far better than the date saying you'd look better losing 5 stone
(which sort of happened to me )

See how you feel when you get to 187. You might find that 178 isn't so
bad then. Statistically you would be healthier in the 'normal' range,
and since you've come such a long way and you're still losing weight
quite quickly...

Don't know so sure anymore I want to go down that far. I think I'll
stop at a weight loss of exactly 25 kg. (just over 55 lb.) I'm pretty
pleased with my weight right now and don't want to throw away the 3
pair of trousers I bought recently for the sole reason they've become
too large already.

Ouch !That must have been painful !

I don't think I'll go all the way down to 187 or even 178 lb. I'm
pretty pleased with my weight right now and I don't want to throw away
the 3 pair of trousers I bought recently for the sole reason they've
become too large. I think I'll stop at 192 or exactly 25 kg of weight
loss. I know I'd be better off statistically when I'd go down to 178 or
so, but I'm afraid I would look too skinny weighing that little. I
think my date is right when she said I'd look even better losing 5 more
pounds.

and you know the NSV here is that you are in control and can decide!!! our
leader said that clothes fitting is a consideration that many people do not
take in to account, and that sometimes the stated "healthy" weight doesn't
distribute right or the same on each of us so after getting where a paper
says you should be going up or down a few pounds to have clothes that fit
properly is very valid in her book, continued success to you, Lee
