The problem with half pitas are that they are not optimal for making pizzas or mock tostadas, and that is the main way I eat mine. They should be ok for cutting up and making pita chips out of, however. Yes, I live in the middle of nowhere, but the grocery stores are pretty good about getting in new things when requested. I've never requested a new item out here. Perhaps I should give it a try. Depending on the store, grocery managers can be amenable to customer requests depending of course on the cost.
