Can anyone recommend a website on how to start this - I'm nervous as I've
heard both good and bad things about it.

Which "this" do you want to start? A specific low-carb plan? Atkins and
South Beach both have big websites but there are other plans too.

There are at least a half dozen "LOW CARB" plans.

To start, you should :

1) Somehow PICK ONE PLAN

2) READ about that plan _BUY A BOOK!

Without a poan, you are probably not going to succeed but dabble in
dribs and drabs and waste the time of all of the people you beg
information and suggestions from.

Ultimately, you are responsible for doing the work of learning and
achieving.

Unless you want to subscribe to one of the commercial eating plans which
will cost you a lot of money.
