Dr. Phil was on larry King hawking his cookbook. There is just
something fishy about him. i have tried and tried to get rid of my bias
against Dr. Phil but I get a real gut reaction evrytime I see him on
TV.
I think he's out to make a mint off of overweight people.

I sort of liked him until he started selling weight loss products. That turned me off
so much because I think he is misusing his influence. And if those products work, why
isn't he in better shape? I realize he bought the products from another vendor and
didn't develop them himself, but it still irritates me to the core.

I wouldn't know Dr. Phil if I passed him on the street to be honest with
you, I don't watch much TV and I don't subscribe to guru theory anyhow.
Getting healthy and slim comes from within. Not from another person or
product. Not bashing education or enlightenment by any means, but we
have tools at our fingertips if we learn to look for them instead of
waiting for them to be told to us or given to us. There is no holy Grail
as far as I'm concerned.

I like Dr. Phil and his resources that help others. Speaking on weight is
only a fraction of what he does. He helps folks with all sorts of issues.
Oprah is a lot better off financially than Dr. Phil is and makes all kinds
of money off a magazine and other things, does that mean she's as bad as you
make Dr. Phil out to be? The funny thing is, and Dr. Phil says it all the
time, if you don't like it, turn off the TV. I concur.

Personally I think folks dislike him because he is successful. You can't
please everyone all of the time is a true statement. Some people love Dr.
Atkins, some think he's a joke. I think if someone can come up with a
theory that ends up helping others out, then that person is a success.

Sincerely,

Paul

I've read that all the profits on Dr. Phil's products go to a charity
that helps fight childhood obesity.
