Default Can I Skip A Day?

I don't feel that well and I don't feel like going to the gym.

I feel guilty for skipping a day.

I suppose I could do some light exercise at home like tummy exercises.

part of what makes this journey with WW different from a diet is that WW is
a lifestyle that considers real life, if you are ill you are, it doesn't
mean you failed it means you are ill and need to get better to get back to
your lifestyle of choice, read Kate's most recent post, Lee

If you are feeling really sick then skip it, but don't skip it just because
you're feeling lazy. That's terrible.

You tell it like it is!

I didn't swim last night: still a bit shaky and feeble after the bad
week, so I thought I'd give it a miss. As I feel much better again
today, I think this was the right choice. I WILL swim tomorrow, and
have lots of walking about opportunities this week...

For me guilt was always a problem...Not exercising a day is OK but if you
also allow yourself to binge or just "skip a day" totally than maybe a
little guilt will keep you on course...GG

Unfortunately, this is how it begins and you can easily slip back into
a routine that allows you to skip working out. I think workouts are
essential, and only if I were physically unable to do them would I
skip. Same with overeating. I NEVER overeat, not for Xmas, special
days, etc. It is kind of like cheating on your spouse. You aren't
likely to do it just once. Once you allow yourself to overeat, not
exercise, etc., you are likely to be on a road to overeating, weight
gain and an unhealthy lifestyle. It is a red flag, in other words. The
good news is you can deal with it now, although, just allowing the
thought of skipping having crept into your mind is not a good sign.
For overeaters and people who were once fat, this is also like taking
that drink to ex-alcoholics. For those who aren't overweight or don't
drink, they will fail to see your question as that big a deal. "What
could possibly happen, if you only skip once," they might ask. I think
you already know the answer to that. That's why you are feeling
guilty. dkw

The key is to exercise smart, not hard just for the sake of one's ego.

I'll be in the pool by nine am, and am planning 40+ lengths...

I'd hoped to get out for a walk today, but life got in the way. I may
do that tomorrow... Right now at 10:45 pm I'm off to bed with a good
NEW book.
