doesn't matter a hill of beans to me - I used to be a bingo caller many
years ago and I loved stopping to gab with all of the old women! I really
enjoyed putting a smile on their faces! I seem to attract old people - My
wife and Daughter always kid me about leaving me a lone in a mall or
something because they know when they return, I will be sitting there
yakking it up with someone like they were my old lost friend or
something!!!
LOL!

Hey - I'm a people person! Is that so bad?

I'm 49, so not even really middle aged yet... Mum is 77. She says
'I'll start being old next week - right now I don't have time!' She
just bought a brand new car, too. And she has a new sewing machine she
hasn't had time to explore yet.

RICHARD! RICHARD!!!!.........if I could reach out through my email and

grab
you, I would!!! I have read every single post that you have made since
coming into this NG and you have NOT offended anybody at all !!

Old, young, male, female, alien?, it just doesn't matter. We all have a
common goal in this NG and that is to be here to support each other in our
weight loss journeys.

I know form your previous posting that you were a little upset about the
lack of support from the members in this NG.

In my opinion, I think that it was just a fluke that not too many people

had
responded and it's most likely due to the fact that many people only post
and read maybe once a week or so.

I know when I am very busy with work, it's difficult to even read every
post, let alone try to respond to every post.

I think all of the regulars in here make a gallant efforts to share and

post
support messages.

We need you to hang in there and stay positive and feel like you are part

of
this group.

I know that would most certainly miss you if you decided to give up and

stop
posting here.

Please cheer up mate........

Eddie I don't think you would offend anybody.

I think that maybe I did something wrong but I can't figure out what.
Oh well, such is life. Maybe it's my age and the group just can't
relate to me. I was once a young, fit, handsome man. Now I'm an old
fat guy.

and I was just thinking, when I first met my DH he asked a couple of times
how old I was, I always responded "ole enough to handle life" He is six
years older than me but when we met I was a JR in college, but I was only 18
or so... he didn't know until I got a quilt and letter from my grandmother
on my 21 st birthday, Lee

Default 50 Pounds!!! - FOR EDDIE

Well she has been at goal for over half her life now. That was her goal
when she was approaching 35 years at goal, then she could continue and say
she was at a healthy weight for over half of her life. She is a sweetie and
I would not trade her in at all. She has seen me go through so much in my
life. I joined WW the first time when I was 26 and had just miscarried a
baby during the second trimester. I had gained way too much weight during
that short pregnancy and turned to WW to help me get off the weight and also
get my mind back in the right place. I continued to lose and then get
pregnant about 11 months later. At that time you could stay on WW with a
doctors note if you were pregnant, which I did. So everyone saw me as I
gained pregnancy weight (28 lbs total) and then to come back the following
week having a baby in a carrier and 22 lbs lighter. She then followed me
through the ups and downs of my weight loss after the pregnancy. Then a few
years later she saw me through my divorce and being a single mom, going back
to school to get my degree, then remarrying and subsequently getting
divorced a second time. She has seen me graduate with my degree,
successfully raise two wonderful girls (the youngest, the one I was pregnant
with during WW, has just graduated high school). So I have known her now
over 20 years, she is a wonderful lady and a wonderful leader. She is the
"mom" figure in my life when I need her. She is just a phone call away if I
need her. She is so willing to give out her phone number to all her
members, so that if you need help, she is there for you. If you are not
having a good week, she will call you and encourage you along the way. She
wants you to succeed no matter what. Just don't give up!

Off my soapbox now, I have sung her praises enough. *smile*

Debbie, it's a great inspiration for people who use the excuse that they
are too old to change.

am, until the moment I start to turn over I am once again 18 and married to
