That isnt funny.
In fact, i dont think i have ever found cathy funny.
She is just a total mess, and i haven known far too many women like her in
my life to laugh at it i suppose.

Cathy's more of a "try every diet out there and fail miserably because
she's emotionally screwed up" addict.

I am afraid that I've lost my sense of humour about diet.

The Cathy cartoon makes light of all of the mis-conceptions that are
being propagated to discourage people from following a healthy low
carb diet and improve their quality and length of life to a very large
degree.

People in general are eating way too many carbs and becoming ill from
diabetes and heart disease. My own father died in 1975 from
complications from these diseases (I was 15 at the time).

Maybe I'm a stick-in-the-mud about this but I find it so disheartening
that the Diabetes assoc., the Heart assoc., pharma, the food industry
and many many more people with vested interests have no problem with
foisting a dangerously unhealthy high-carb diet like the food pyramid
recomendations onto the trusting and unsuspecting public.

People are dying and suffering every day from obesity and its
associated diseases.

I'm sorry, I cannot find the humour in it at all.

Family Circus may have been funny when it started, but I can't remember
back that far. (I'm 51.) It hasn't been funny since I first read it.
