fresh fruit in season
I find using the current fresh fruit in season a very refreshing thing to do
on this long weight loss journey. So this week I'm going to eat my first peach ( or part of one) in a very long time- Maybe that's the ticket- to give yourself something to look forward to. You can eat lots of kinds of fruit, it just might mean sharing or taking a much smaller portion than you formerly would have eaten. Weigh out 2 oz of strawberries (2.5 carbs) blueberries(6 carb) peach (4 carbs) Actually what I have been screaming lately is that I can eat anything I want to eat that is healthy. I just need to know how much I can eat of that item to stay within my limits. So when kiddo waves that bite of rice in front of me- I'm going to grab it, eat it and stick my tongue out at him and count 1 carb. -- Diane Atkins since 12/4/2003 234/198 /150 5"8 CCLL about 27 Enjoy life & keep the calories down to your weight x 10 and watch the salt! |
