There are some abusive posters. Billy only looks at the recent
history and his reaction is abusive. I have no idea if he'll grow
out of that phase but while he's responding to spammers and
throwing insults he's definitely a part of the problem not a part
of the solution.

Just consider me elctro-shock. I get the feeling that if I weren't
posting, there would be no pulse at all in this group, just Stoopid Leo,
Dr. Chung, and transient spammers. Most of my posts have appropriate
content, and if nothing else, they are a light in the window to let
visitors know that the group isn't totally moribund, or a junk filled
vacant lot.

I was recommended this site because of Susan but I have only seen her to
be abusive and distant. I must have missed her salad days.

So far you, Doug, you seem to be the best that this group has to offer,
but you don't post that much. I know that once you have done and said
everything ad nauseam, it is difficult to say and do them again for
newbies, but that just leaves you old timers talking cryptically to
yourselves about obscure minutia of physiology, or how nice things used
to be.

Erecting barriers to newbies doesn't give the group much of a future,
and it's no way to spread your knowledge (or are you going to take it
with you?).

There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who
learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and
find out for themselves.
