Lunch
Madame went out to shop and lunch with a friend, so I was left to my own
devices. I decided against a restaurant, instead went to the store and bought a half pound filet of beef and a couple of endives. When I got home I put two small pans on to heat, salted and peppered the steak and opened a bottle of red wine. I took a piece of the root end and a couple of outer leaves off the endives and sliced them into one inch pieces. When the pans were hot I put butter, salt, pepper and the endive in one and turned the heat down and put the steak into the other. I poured a glass of wine and drank some. After three minutes I turned the steak. Three minutes later lunch was ready. As I ate my meal and drank my wine and read my book I did have time to wonder why people think dieting is so difficult. |

I agree. 1) select any meat, fish or fowl - cook them any way you prefer 2) select greens and assorted veggies for salad and/or side dish 3) enjoy Couldn't be easier. TC |

Sounds lovely.
You aint wrong...it's hard to feel 'deprived" when you're enjoying a meal like that, LOL. My most extravagant 'gourmet meal since beginning LC was lobster thermador the other night. I kept thinking,,,Damn...I wonder what the THIN folks are eating tonight? I bet it aint as good as this....." LassChance (aka WIR) Start LC~5-16-05 202-199-165 (i only weigh on Sunday) |
