I have done low carb forever and I really think it has contributed to
some major medical problems I've had recently (please don't respond by telling me how low carb is wonderful and isn't bad for you...I've done it for several years, I know what you're going to say as I've said it myself)...so now I'd like to loose about 20#s and have decided to try WW as it just seems much more logical and healthy. I do exercise for 30-40 minutes about 6 days a week and am in fairly good shape... my starting #s... start of week one: 142 pounds goal 120 |

All eating plans aren't for everyone and LC diets have their share of issues. If you had posted to the ASDLC group, you'd get a lot of flack, but not here. WW is a well balanced plan that lets you eat what works for you. It's not a great idea to return to refined carbs, but whole grains, fruits and vegetables are excellent ways to add carbs back into your life. Just remember that if you have recently been LC'ing and up your carb load, you will see an initial, temporary gain because your muscles are taking in water again. Water isn't fat but gets that scale moving up. Patience, persistence, and consistency (not perfection) will get things going in the right direction again! Best of luck. -- the volleyballchick |
