Default When two spouses diet to mix results.

The wife and I have both been on the diet thing since January.

She signed me up for e-Diets and then a few weeks later decided to do WW for
herself.

We both got recommitted to our gym.

I have lost 40 pounds. It shows as well.

Not sure what my wife has lost. She says she has not lost much and states
it does not show in her clothes.

To me it looks like she lost some in her upper body, but then she says I am
just being nice.

As I stated we both go to the gym together, at least 5 days a week (we do
cardio for 30 to 40 minutes, and on three of those days do weights for 30 to
40 minutes.)

I know I burn more because I can lift more and bike faster.

I also walk during my lunch.

She gets frustrated when people give me compliments. She wants them as
well. She knows guys burn it quicker.

Her energy level is so much higher than it was when we first started back up
at the gym.

Just wish there was something I could tell her.

Ok folks, after that long rambling post, have any of you dieted with someone
else and have a situation like this?

Blokes often lose quicker than gals, even when both are on WW. She'll
catch up just so long as she sticks with the program.

not really DH has lost through osmosis by me being on WW and is just now
considering seriously what he wants to do, but as a woman, I can tell you
that YOUR attention is the most important, even if she doesn't say it, and
while most women want attention form many sources, the right attention, from
the man she cares most about will go further than anything else, comments
like: I am so glad you are eating healthier, means we will be together for a
much longer time is always a good one, then followed by, and you getting
hotter looking is a side benefit as well, Lee, probably giving away too many
"girl secrets"

I should add that even if the nice words aren't seemingly well received,
they are heard...

While I was loosing I went through phases where I REALLY didn't like my body
and how I was doing. My husband has always been extremely supportive, and
would encourage me always, sometimes I didn't believe his comments at first,
but later I would think back about them and it would mean the world to me.

Guess my point is that even if you get a "You're just saying that" kind of
comment, it doesn't mean it isn't heard and or appreciated, it just mean
that at that very moment, she's feeling down.. but it might just be the
thing that'll bring her back up.

It's tough being a husband I think..
