Well, if "on the run" means I'm driving the car, it would be an energy
bar, nuts, hard-boiled eggs, or a sandwich. When I used to go to
work, lunch was usually a large salad (from grocery store salad bar)
with added meat or fish. If I'm stopping at a restaurant to pick up
something, my typical choices are Subway small roast beef (no cheese,
mustard rather than mayo), Panera tuna sandwich, Chic-Fil-A grilled
chicken sandwich.

Not that it takes a lot of time, but lately it's my turkey burgers
:-).

Lunch is always one of three choices:
--can of tuna mixed with mustard with either 2 wasa crackers or a
serving of fat free pretzels
--2 cups of soup, either homemade or canned
--a big salad

Lunch out with my sister, and sometimes my mom will join us. Then it's
either our favorite Chinese restaurant, or Ithaca's famous Collegetown
Bagels for a sandwich or soup. I usually opt for the soup and one of
their fresh tuscan rolls. Mmmm.

Name your favorites "on the run" lunches

On the run: Fat free vanilla yogurt and frozen raspberries
with a few almonds (or some Kashi cereal) sprinkled on
top.

Name your favorite "I've got time" lunch

I've got time: Rice, Black Bean and Corn Salad over
spinach or lettuce leaves. Here's the recipe from the WW
New Complete Cookbook. Amounts are subjects to your taste.
Combine cooked brown rice, corn kernels, chopped bell
pepper, chopped celery, cooked black beans, finely chopped
red onion, finely chopped cilantro and a minced jalapeno
pepper. Add red-wine or balsamic vinegar, fresh lime juice
and a little olive oil. If you make a big batch, the lime
juice will help it taste fresh and crunchy for several
days.

Thanks for the recipe. I love salads with black beans. One of my favorites
is the Peppery Bean Salad from one of my WW cookbooks. I've taken it to
picnics and had several people ask for the recipe. Some are always a little
surprised to learn it's a WW recipe.

I apologize if this is a re-post. Outlook has been acting
kind of strange for the past few days.

I can't say it's a "favorite", but yesterday, needing to fuel while
shopping, I tanked up with a no-fat yogurt, a banana, and a Kashi
energy bar. All were washed down with some diet green tea while driving
from Spring City to Pottstown on 724. So much better a choice,
dietwise, than the hot ham sandwiches the gas station had at the
counter.
