No special diet will magically allow you to overeat and still lose.

Low-carb junk food is still junk.

If your life revolves around food, you need to get a life.

And FYI, since ephedra was pulled, there is no ingredient in a
bottle of over-the-counter weight loss pills or capsules that has any
medical evidence of actually helping weight loss. And carb-blockers
don't work.

Eat less [overall daily calories] does not mean go hungry (except in
SlipperyStar's case ; who chooses to do so).

Well I don't always go hungry, but I'm not afraid of being hungry, and
I actually think it is good to feel hunger once in a whle. Most
Americans freak out the first instant they have a feeling their
stomach may be empty, and rush to stuff it full. Getting a bit hungry
and then feeling the hunger dissapear on and off is no big deal for me
now. And for some reason, if I am hungry for several hours before I
eat, I eat less. So there. ;)

I hear ya. Same for me. I get so sick of the "oh but you need to eat
*frequently* to keep your 'metabolism' up!". I'm in the "eat less"
camp. A lot of people (again, if the shoe doesn't fit, I'm not talking
about you) don't give their bodies *time* to send out the appropriate
signals.

I gotta think this is kinda like a balloon. Blow it up, let the air out,
blow it up right away again and it is easier then the first time
(streched out). Let it sit for a while it takes more effort to blow it
up. Just my uneducated guess though.
