REC:Broccoli Coleslaw
I made a broccoli cole slaw that was very good tonight.
Bag of broccoli slaw cup of mayo tsp celery seed 1/2 tsp of onion powder 2 tbs of red wine vinegar 1 packet of splenda Was very very good. Even the kids ate it! The kids are starting to come around. My daughter and I went grocery shopping today and it's always her job to pick out the snacks for her and her brother. When I told her to pick something out for her and her brother she said, "you know, I really am not in the mood for anything like that, I want peanut butter and apples for my snack this week." I almost passed out in the grocery store. Hehe She has taken very well to this WOE. My son on the other hand who is a teenage boy and growing is CONSTANTLY starving. He's got a great metabolism and stays very trim. He skateboards and is very active. My daughter dances 3 days a week so she's active too. She has told me she has more energy since we started this WOE. Surprised me coming from a 12 year old. But it's nice that she's with me on my journey. -- Sheli |

Course, maybe the bag of broccoli is bigger than I am imagining. SS |

It comes out just right. I suppose you can use more or less according to
your taste -- Sheli "SlipperyStar" wrote in message om... "guitarprincess" wrote in message t... I made a broccoli cole slaw that was very good tonight. Well, I'll try it soon.
One thing I've enjoyed lately is microwaving a head of cauliflower till it's boiled potato consistency, then making a "fauxtato salad" type hot dish, like a casserole, with some mayo, mustard, hot sauce, some ground beef, and some other veggies. Whatever I have in my fridge actually. I let it simmer in the pan for awhile and add different spices. It is really good, and for me takes care of those urges to have potatoes or such. I suppose after cooking for a while on the stove you could cover in a baking pan with a little cheese and make it a real casserole of sorts. It's yummy!.....sorry I didn't really give a recipe as such but I always end up making it differently each time. Low carb cooking....a really nice entree in itself or a nice side dish to a juicy piece of meat! SS "guitarprincess" wrote in message et... It comes out just right.
