New to Lo Carb - Common or strange side effects?
Hi all,
Just started the lo carb thing two days ago and I have been so tired and fatigued. I just don't understand how my body is going to get energy. Also, I've been really thirst, my lips have been constantly chapped and I urinate 10 times a day. Are these common? I used to be a carb junkie and maybe my body's withdrawing or something... Thanks, Jim |

Yes, that's all normal. You should start to feel MUCH better in a couple of days -- better than you have in YEARS, probably! Keep drinking LOTS of water. Low- carbing can have a diuretic effect in the beginning. Right about now, your body is not only withdrawing from what it's used to, but also trying to adjust to buring fat for it's primary source of energy, and it goes through a period of adjustment. It usually takes around 4 days or so for the body to make the transition from burning consumed calories to burning stored calories as primary fuel source. The fatigue will disappear and be replaced with new, consistent energy. -- Peter 270/215/180 Before/Current Pix: http://users.thelink.net/marengo/wei...htlosspix.html |
