Default Share your inspiring recovery story with PREVENTION magazine

Are you actively fighting depression, on the road to recovery, or
helping out a friend who is suffering?
I'm a researcher for PREVENTION, the nation's #1 health magazine, and I
am working on a package of inspirational "Health Hero" stories. One of
the topics we're hoping to cover is depression, and we're looking for
real-life stories of women who have been affected by the disorder.

The feature will focus on people who had a friend, spouse, parent, etc,
who in some way inspired them to make a change in their life. For
depression, we're hoping to find maybe someone who watched a friend,
sibling, parent, etc. struggle with depression -- either postpartum,
manic depression, or any other type of disorder -- then later
recognized similar symptoms in herself, and got help.

If you or anyone you know has a story like this, and would be willing
to share it, we'd love to hear about them. The information we'll need,
right away, follows:

Please include (for both people):
A short description of the two people's story
Age
Job
Relationship between the two / how they met / what started the
relationship
If the subject has kids
Where they live
Recent digial photo (just for us, not for the mag!)

The health "hero" can be any age/sex, and the person who was "inspired"
needs to be a woman between 25-55. We're hoping to gather a great group
of women who can really help change the lives of our readers, just as
their "heroes" did for them.

Unfortunately we're on a short deadline so I'd need information by the
end of the week for our editors to review. Anyone with a story should
feel free to email me at . Your assistance
is greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much.
