Default Monday Weigh-in

Had another good week. Just did my weigh in and lost 4 more pounds. I didn't
really do much exercising last week due to allergies, but I did stick to my
1700 calories a day.

Biked in today 13.1 miles to work (trying to get back on track with my
workouts) if the weather holds I just may ride home rather than take the
bus. Still planning my after dinner walk of 3 miles (extended it 1 mile as
of last night, the dogs love it).

At my current pace I will reach my target of 220 (if I stay on a good trend)
by April of next year. To do that I need to lose 2.08 lbs a week. Doable on
my current diet and exercise plan. My 6 week average is 4.16 lbs per week.

Joe 357/317/220

***Another milestone reached... 40 lbs. lost since 01/15/07 ---about 10
lbs. a month is what I was hoping for.

God bless you all for sharing your stories and helping me stay positive
every day!

Great job, Joe!

You bikers and your mileage make me jealous...I keep staring at my
daughter's 10 speed thinking "can I?" but I haven't tried yet. A few
more posts from you, Beverly, and Neil might do it, though.

Congratulations Joe!

I envy people who are able to commute to work by bike. My commute is
just a little too long so I'm stuck with weekends and after work.

Quit staring at the 10 speed and jump on for a ride It's one of
the most pleasurable forms of exercise available.
Even the 30 mile ride Sunday morning in the 15-25 mph winds with a few
steep hills was fun!!

I haven't been posting too much lately but have been reading. I've
been busy at work, biking and shopping for a new bike. I've decided
to add a mountain bike to my stable I won't be doing any jumps or
screaming downhills but plan on taking in the dirt trails in a new
mountain bike park due to open in the fall. In the meantime, I'll be
checking out some of the current trails in state parks in this area.

Now.....get out there and try the daughter's bike

If I can do it, anyone can. I'm still pumped I pulled off a 100 mile
week. Even a serious roadie complimented me on it.

You can do it! When I started this in January I couldn't even walk around my
building at work without stopping to sit down. Now I feel like I can do any
activity I want. Hop on the bike and see how far you go.

Now I'm really embarrassed! I'll have to overcome my fear of falling and
give it whirl...

Find a nice grassy area to start - it's much softer It doesn't take too
long to start getting comfortable with riding.
