No hassle at all. We receive surveys every so often, and
follow-ups if there is anything that didn't go through
directly. In two years we've gotten only three press
inquiries (one of which led to our appearance on Good
Morning America), and of those, only one wasn't well-vetted
IMHO. (It was a stringer, who really was a college student
doing a paper, rather than contacting the NWCR as a member
of the press on assignment as originally claimed.)

Thanks Bicker. I submitted my application.

I thought that you started maintenance last October? If so, you have
not maintained for one year and therefore you do not qualify.

I started maintenance last September. I lost 30 lbs by August 3, 2003,
so I do qualify, since I maintained my 30 lbs weight loss for one
year. My total weight loss though, is 50 lbs.

I'm pretty sure that they mean one year of maintaining your total weight
loss.

That's a pretty ridiculous criterion, in my opinion. For those of us who
gained almost 100 pounds, it takes a while to lose that amount of weight.
While I've lost almost 60 pounds, I still have a lot to go. Based on that
criterion, I won't be able to join this for at least two more years.

If you have been losing for over a year and are still losing it seems to me
that you are maintaining your original weight loss.
