I used to be a regular on here when things were jumpin'. I suspect that they've migrated to some Facebook or other, similar social site. I don't care for FB, so I've got to contemplate on whether or not it's worth digging that info up. Oh well, thank you for caring enough to reply, Trader. Dusty -- They may have migrated somewhere else. But you would think if people who were here regularly were moving elsewhere, they'd tell us where that elsewhere was, so we could join them. I'm not on FB either. And newsgroups dying isn't limited to this one. Even if they are not going somewhere to discuss LC, I think a lot of people's internet time is getting sucked up with FB, Twitter etc., leaving less time for anything else. |

While I do have a FB account, I rarely use it. Not all that long after Zuckerberg first launched it, I signed up. Hey! When you live & work in the silicon valley, you do stuff like that. Besides, it was new, high-tech, and cool. After a while, I was pretty sure it was going to be a sewer, and from what I see today, it would seem that I had a clue. Still, I've migrated some of my attention to it as a number of the Usenet groups I was a part of migrated too. I'm sure there is one for LC, but I've not yet found it. Too many other things upon which to waste ones time I guess ... ![]() Oh well...we live & learn, Dusty -- "If the gods listened to the prayers of men, all humankind would quickly perish since they constantly pray for many evils to befall one another." — Epicurus, Greek Philosopher c.341-270 BC |
