Disappointing week. This week I've been really good at not eating
during the day then snacking in the evening 'cos I've been so
successful. I also had some beer and yesterday I had a snickers.
Snickers among other things are what got me in this position in the
first place, so I shouldn't have had it. But I had the calories to
spare so it's a crime.

So what's the result - no change @ 202.

Not unhappy with that at all. Now to shape up for a good loss next
week.

I haven't had any Snickers since I started this journey... but boy do I love
them, and I 'm craving one just now. See what you did? ;-)
A maintain is good if you know you snacked too much in the evenings. Maybe
try eating more during the day? And try doing things in the evening to avoid
snacking?
When I watch television I try to keep my hands busy : folding the washing,
sorting out magazines, doing crosswords... It doesn't work all the time, but
sometimes it does.

The good news is that you didn't gain. I think the scale is primed to
go down very soon.

That evening snacking thing is so hard! I'm slowly learning that it is
possible to find the balance between not snacking at all and all-out
binging. I've learned to adjust my points throughout the day to allow
for my evening treat. But then I limit myself to one or two low-point
treats: usually low fat ice cream and meringues. Exercising in the
evening also helps curb my cravings, besides earning me some activity
points. I'm also mindful that sitting down to watch the television is
an automatic munchies trigger. I don't watch television without a full
bottle of water beside me. If necessary, I'll eat a mini bag of
low-fat popcorn. Just enough to satisfy the munchies. Not enough to
damage my day's worth of good eating.

You've done a great job figuring out solutions to your weight loss
dilemmas. I've no doubt you'll get this one solved too.

Onward and downward.

Could you have hit a plateau? They are quite frustrating. Mine lasted 6
weeks and then I mysteriously started losing again.

Go back over your journal and see if you are doing any thing differently
that might have you right at the max number of points without realising it.
You could be under counting something and you are now on the "maintenance
plan". Suggestions that were given to me: Start mixing up your meals,
increase your water, eat more veggies, faithfully weigh and measure
everything. Maybe something will help break the plateau.

have you thought of buying the bite sized snickers and freezing them so you
go and get only a portion at a time? Lee
