Default High-Carbohydrate Diet Can Increase Blood Pressure in Type 2 Patients

Diets rich in monounsaturated fats are associated with reduced triglyceride
levels and very low-density lipoprotein levels when compared with
high-carbohydrate diets among patients with diabetes.

After reading the article, I don't see how they made enough of a statistical
difference between "high carbohydrate" (55% of clories) and "low
carbohydrate" (40 % of calories). We know from our own experience that when
eating a true low carbohydrate diet (20% of calories), high blood pressure
and triglycerides will drop dramatically even regardless of whether
sconsumed fats are saturated or unsaturated.
