::
:::::
::::: Both antiperpirants and deodorants are not a solution. They cover
::::: up the problem.
:::::
::::: Solution: kill the bacteria with antifreeze
:::::
::::: Antifreeze is a concentrated solution of ethylene glycol. Ethylene
::::: glycol is a colorless, odorless liquid that tastes sweet but is
::::: actually poisonous if ingested. Never take it by mouth and never
::::: leave it where children and pets can get it. When applied to
::::: healthy skin for a brief period of time, however, it is harmless.

:::
::::: If you can buy pure ethylen glycol, you will be better off,
::::: obviously, since there is no concern about other components of
::::: antifreeze, colorants etc. Antifreeze is handled by people at oil
::::: place changes daily and is considered a safe substance, unless
::::: used internally.
:::
::: Is antifreeze really safe to use on armpits? What else is in it?
::: Has it been approved for use in this manner?
::
:: No, it has not been approved for destroying armpit odor.
::
:: Check out MSDS (material safety data sheet) for antifreeze:
::
:: http://www.houghtonchemical.com/auto...spechdmsds.htm
::
:: SKIN: May be mildly irritating to skin. Slightly toxic on prolonged
:: or repeated contact.
::
:: So, obviously if you drench your skin in AF and let it stay for a
:: long time, it may irritate it. But it's not what I recommend, which
:: is a
:: brief application. Think about it, people handle antifreeze all day
:: long, in homes, garages, oil changing places etc.

Hmm...people handle a lot of stuff in homes...laundry soap, cleaners,
drain-o, etc. Should they go putting that **** in their armpits and crouch?

Besides -- why do we need to be odor free for months? Why not just shower
everyday rather than using AF to suppress what is natural?

I can hardly wait to see what you come up with next, Ig.

To each his own, I guess.

The sensitive area under arms etc, will absorb the anti-freeze. Say what
you will, but been in the automotive trade way long enough and been to
many seminars that cover hazardous materials. Do what you will, i like
to wash and use deodorant!

NO thanks!
I think a little sweat is good for ppl!
Its where the pheremones come from.

You still will swet like always after doing what I suggested... But
the sweat won't stink for a few months. Oh, and wear newly washed
clothes after application, to avoid contamination from unwashed
clothes.

i

Yeah, and ruin your new clothes with anti-freeze?? LOL

Well, I have some pesky squirrels I'd like to be rid of....I'm sure they're
too smart to drink AF, though...

Just because "deodorant chemicals" were found on tumors, does not mean
that they caused tumors.

If antifreeze was carcinogenic, it would be listed on the MSDS.

I'm not Ignoramus. I don't have to justify being ignorant.

Screw your detractors, Igor -- I'll be your guinea pig!

Now to find someone to smell my armpits and see if they're stinky...

LOL

come to think about it. i know for a fact they are making antifreeze pet
and eco friendly now. i wonder if it would have the same effect? more safer
to boot.

im not sure but wouldnt an antibacterial soap do just the same?

soap is, by its very nature, antibacterial. using antibacterial soap
when you don't have an infection is pointless.

Well, if that "****" works as well as antifreeze/ethylen glycol does
for me, and does not cause irritation, why not.

man alive. i don't even know what to say to that one.

Showering every day does not get rid of armpit smell, as far as I am
concerned. Makes it a little less intense, but it's still there.

have you ever tried one of those salt crystal deodorants? my exhusband
was a somewhat stinky cat until i got him using those. it worked like a
charm.
