Food & Exercise -- 6/27/2007
A good day, but long. I ate breakfast and lunch at the conference
with Tom, and spent some time looking at the exhibits. I also went for a swim in the morning. After lunch I went to the airport and hung out for a bit in the airline club. Then we got on the plane, only to find we were on indefinite hold due to air traffic control delays. We ended up sitting on the plane for about 2 1/2 hours before taking off. But anyway, I'm finally home :-). Food: * 8:00 (conference breakfast buffet): cheerios w/ milk; low-fat cherry yogurt; scrambled eggs w/ mushrooms * 10:30 (conference break food): a couple of pieces of banana bread * 1:00 (conference lunch buffet): salad w/ raspberry vinaigrette; steamed veggies; chicken breast w/ mushroom sauce; small piece of cheesecake w/ fresh berries * 2:00 -- 3:30 (airline club): 2 small glasses of wine; 2 pieces of string cheese w/ 4 small wheat crackers; 2 oatmeal cookies * 8:00 (on the plane, brought with me): energy cookie {nutritional product from Life Time} * 11:00 (home): 2 poached eggs on 1 slice whole wheat toast w/ 3 slices melted f/f cheese & grated French hard cheese Exercise: * 9:00: swimming: 40 lengths (shorter hotel pool) Chris 262/130s/130s |

How do you know it wasn't made with trans-fat-based shortening? I don't eat this type of catered stuff, since it has no label, and the people serving it typically don't have a clue. |

Well, I just don't worry about all that stuff on an occasional basis. I make healthy choices at home, and eat pretty much whatever I want now and again at events like this. I might note that I've kept off 130+ lbs. for about 3 years now :-). (And I figure that in my 59 years on this earth I've probably eaten a fair bit of trans fats, and a bit more now and again probably won't kill me.) Chris 262/130s/130s |
