Default How much water is healthy?

Another question

How much water is ideal, and how much water is too much (per day)? If
possible, could you answer in liters?

Thanks
JS

Many in the group aim for around 64oz (~1.9 liters) of water a day. It's
really hard to drink too much water unless you guzzle it downg

I am not sure what the medical community deems as a healthy amt of water.
But my personal take on it and I know this from over a years worth of
expereince that if I do not get my 4+liters a day I note weightloss slowing,
cranky feeling, occassional chapped lips and dry skin(i'd have to go days
and days without my water for this to happen) I am a water drinker since my
lifestyle change over a year ago and I attribute alot of my weightloss to
it. Not just because of its obvious benefits(skin, hair, nails, organ
function, less headaches yaddayadda) but because it keeps me focused on what
I am trying to accomplish. Example if I go into a resturant for dinner and I
order water instead of tea or a cola, it reminds me that I am trying to
watch what goes into my body. I use water as a mental check/reminder I
guess. I think it also sets a good example for my children. In the same
scenerio if I order first and I always do, they tend to follow suit and
order water as well.

Anyway, thats some of my random thoughts on water

That's a really good point. I find myself doing the same thing. When I am
drinking water regularly, I feel healthier, which leads to more healthy
behavior.

I drink 2 liters and I do fine. I could probably use a 3rd and have my
water tank topped up. My sister on the other hand doesn't feel right unless
she drinks at least 4 and feels better with 5 or 6 liters to top her tank.
So as you see. It varies from person to person. Drink until you are
satisfied. Drink more after that and stop when you can't drink any more.

As always... do what works for you.
